Wear It, Share it and have People Stare!

So I made the hat and it received glowing reports from my fellow students and Sian - my tutor, yet I still felt I needed some feed back from the general public.

My friend Phil invited me to his Civil Ceremony and if this wasn't the occassion to wear something unusual when would it?

I bought the dress to match the hat!

I am deep down a very shy person and can be racked with doubts about how good my work is and how confident I can be. I usually stand behind my 6ft 4" DH when out together in situations I am unsure about. So when Phil's invitation arrived I knew I had to grab the bull by the horns, and as DH was staying at home with Son, be brave and don the hat!

I must admit I nearly turned round and jumped back in the car, but DH said some supporting words and off I went head held high!

I had a lovely time, I only knew a handful of people, but the hat broke the ice and I chatted the day away. I even had requests for business cards!
Watch out Mr Treachy you may have competition!!!

Hi!
Today I'm creating labels for the ATCs in the upcoming CYBER FYBER exhibition but I can't resist sneaking a peek into some of the blogs while I work. I'm so glad I looked in on your wonderful blog. The hat is great; the dress is great; the occasion is great! Thanks for sharing and especially for trading with me!

The hat is both fabulous and fun! You looked just great, and must have added such a bright, cheerful note to the gathering.
