The Gods may throw a dice...

Their minds as cold as ice...

Birthdays to remember...

Two years ago saw us sat in a restaurant wondering if DH would have a job the following day as his immediate boss and the director had been sacked that afternoon-(He survived the cull, but left to join another company later that year to start a new position where he is now). Last year Mum was on the operating table having surgery for breast cancer - (Thankfully after radiotheraphy everything is now okay) and just when I thought I had it all sorted another birthday comes around with another family trauma to kick me in the teeth.

My Lovely Dad, after spending the last year nursing Mum through her recovery has now discovered he too has breast cancer! What are the chances of that happening?

I am planning to visit him this weekend before he has his surgery next week,

thought I would fly up...

BUT THEN...

The volcano in Iceland has decided to blow!

Should be flying tomorrow evening so hoping and praying that the dust will disperse by tomorrow evening as at the moment no flights are leaving the UK airports.

If I'm not allowed to fly then I will have to drive - not my favourite journey, hence the booked tickets, but needs must!

Act of God or natural disaster?
All I want to do is give my Dad a hug.

What a difficult time you're having Alison. So sorry you've got all this worry. Look after yourself.
