Current Status of Module 2

I have been gathering my samples together. These are the fabrics I feel will be useful for the making of the apron. I have worked on the shape of the "squares" for the apron as it will be made up of individual squares which will be sewn or held together so that they look like armour plating as in the armadillo skin. The end of the year approaches and Christmas and all that it entails come nearer and nearer so time will have to be used wisely. Oh Father Christmas, please bring me a time machine this year!

I am currently on Module 2 of Sian Martin's Distant Stitch course. I have decided to create an apron for my finished piece and have been spending time considering the shape of the fabric and how they will be held together. Also gathered together samples from previous chapters of the module which I feel will be useful in deciding how the fabric used to make the apron will be dyed or bleached.

Beginnings

Welcome to my blog "A Garner of Stitched Thoughts". I intend to publish my coursework on these pages so that my tutor Sian Martin and my fellow members of the Yahoo group City and Guilds Textiles can see my progress
